Writer: Ifrim CiprianIfrim Ciprian

Updated: May 4, 2022

The Decision Tree Regressor that is being used for Rainfall Precipitation, which previously had the following performance on the 2020-2021 dataset:

  • Mean Absolute Deviation: 9.29%

  • R-Squared Error: 10.34%

It has also been tested on the 2021 to 2022 (up to end of April) dataset with the following performance:

  • Mean Absolute Deviation: 6.93%

  • R-Squared Error: 7.73%

The high accuracy is thanks to having the tree split as pure as possible with no random splits.
